Flowers for me?

Flowers, for me, have something about squirt of colours that carry out some positive behavioural responses on the recipient’s mood. Or should I say, they somewhat bring about life satisfaction due to their noteworthy meaning. I should know. I have already received bouquets of flowers lots of times already!

But one fact about receiving a bouquet of flowers that made it so gratifying is it’s sure-fire way of recuperating someone’s mood. (ok inulit ko lang ata). They have an immediate impact on happiness (source: http://www.flowersuk.com). As for me, I get a true and excited smiles and all I feel is delight and gratitude upon receiving flowers.

Symbolically, flowers have been ascribed as a symbol of undying love. In history in fact, it symbolizes glory and victory, virginity, purity and majesty. But mainly, LOVE is the dominant message among the figurative meaning of flowers. Giving of flowers has been a mean to convey one’s amorous intent towards one’s subject of affection.

My personal favourite among those enormous kinds of flowers are tulips and roses. An officemate of mine had opened my awareness on the symbolical meaning of receiving a number of roses when he already noticed an almost weekly or monthly delivery of flowers to our office. Roses by the way, in particular, carry an absolute meaning of old-fashioned expressions of emotion. As curious as I was, I researched for it’s meaning as well. Here are some symbolical meaning of roses and tulips:

Rose - Orange - Fascination.
Rose - Pale Pink - Modesty.
Rose - Pink - Thankfulness.
Rose - Pink - Perfect happiness. Please believe me.
Rose - Red - Love, I love you.
Rose - Red and White Mixed - Unity, flower emblem of England.
Rose - Single Full Bloom - I love you. I still love you.
Rose - Thornless - Love at first sight.
Rose - White - Innocence and purity, secrecy and silence. I am worthy of you. You are heavenly.
Rose - Yellow - Decrease of love, jealousy, try to care.

Tulip - Perfect lover, frame, flower emblem of Holland.
Tulip - Red - Believe me, declaration of love.
Tulip - Variegated - Beautiful eyes.
Tulip - Yellow - There's sunshine in your smile.

Whew! Very good, Zai! Ha-ha!

Anyhow, receiving any kinds of flowers always, and will forever fascinate and mesmerize me.
