We always have an inspiration, I believe. During college, I’ve always been inspired by the thought that I will make my parents proud when I graduated and have a great job; independent from them, who bravely face their so called “real world”. We also have someone, may be a friend, a relative, an artist, a writer, or anyone who comes to inspire us and give us the motivation to do better with what we are doing.
I’ve never been fascinated by writing then, especially during high school or college. When I have these assignments that require writing, I never got excited doing them. I just do them because I’m obliged to – talk about doing something you hate, or something you feel you ought to do not because you love it but because you have to (if you want to pass a certain course). But the love for reading finally caught my interest, and then writing as well follows.
When I finally handed a job, I used to have so much reading materials to study, to gain knowledge of and to browse over and over until I finally got to know how the system works! And during past times, I do browse for blog entries to read, or whatever it is that will make me gain knowledge while reading. Until I come to browse a good friend’s blog site and for a not-so-clear reason, I got fascinated with how she express what she’s feeling and how well she illustrates what she saw, what she heard, what she smelled, etc. I became her instant fan! And believe me, she became my inspiration – to do better in writing. I know she had a gift for writing a beautifully inspired entry and everyone else can do it their way.
I believe in the saying that someone is not born a writer; someone is honed to become a writer! And what we need is an inspiration or a motivation to become one! ^_^ I’m not saying I’m a good writer now, all I’m saying is, I’m trying and learning to be one! ^_^
