1 day Bohol Adventure

June 20, 2009, We woke up before 6am in the morning; walked by the beach, sight seeing, and let the sun burn our skin! haha! plus of course we didn't let pass the opportunity of capturing Bohol's beach resort's pride. aww, awesome! see pictures here

After breakfast at Dumaluan Beach Resort, we head on straight to the Blood Compact site to start our Bohol tour! The view is much more amazing, really! Kuya Ronald told us that the statues were made of real bronze, kaya pala super init nung madikit kmi sa statue! After the BC Site, we went to Baclayon Church, as we kiddingly joke, 'ahh Bakla daw yon church', hehe. It's the 2nd oldest church here in the Philippines next to Intramuros. It's really incredible how much pride they took as you see how well they preserve their history! We've seen it through the Baclayon Museum, although we are not allowed to take pictures inside. And inside of the church, bawal ang naka-shorts during the mass, and bawal ang nakaspagetti or sleeveless at backless inside. Thank goodness they allow balabal.Ha-ha!

Next stop is the the spot where Python is located. Scary! Anlaki nya! Here we've learned that he eats 56 kilos of live pig! OMG, I as his prey is not enough for him to satisfy his hunger! Kawawang baboy..

It's lunch time and as what is written in our itinerary, we're supposed to eat the the famous Loboc Floating restaurant, but our driver/tour guide suggested to try the Rio Verde Floating Resto. And YES! he's right, the food was really good! Delicious! During the buffet lunch, a native performer from Bohol entertain us with his amusing country songs. It's very much enjoyable eating while you hear such lovely songs! And as we cruise the river, you can see the clear, clean and stunning Loboc river. ahhh, so relaxing! At the end of the river cruise, we were welcomed by the dancing boholano natives who made a short show for us as we took pictures of them performing and posing for us!

Tarsier as we all know is an endangered species endemic to the Philippines, and only at Bohol they may be located. We were lucky enough to see these nocturnal species taken care by Bohol's DENR. They really are amazing creatures with big eyes and so tiny galamay's! Imagine, they are so little as one kamao! and they can even turn their heads nearly 360 degrees! Aww, so cute!!

Bohol's adventure won't be complete without the Chocolate hills! But as we head on to where it is located, we are mesmerized by the man-made forest along the road.It was a product of the reforestation project of the DENR employees during 1969, according to Kuya Ronald. Hay, akalain mong ndi nila naiisip that it will turn out to be one of the tourist attractions there in Bohol?!

The Chocolate Hills were spectacular! I can't even find a perfect description on how they look like, but believe me, when we are at the top of the viewing spot, I can't help but thank God for such a lovely site!

It made me realize how lucky the Boholano's are for having such kind of blessing, and us Filipinos for having Bohol part of the Philippines. I saw how they value the history, how religious they are, how peaceful Bohol is,and how they value our nature. Maybe, that's the reason why they were blessed with every beauty they have now.
